We get phone calls from people asking about dental insurance and if we are in their network. We hear from people that their insurance wants them to go to “X big box place” but they wouldn’t see the same dentist twice because of the way the staff comes and goes. And we answer a lot of questions like “what does my dental insurance cover?”

It’s really confusing.

And the answer to that last question is that every person’s insurance is slightly different. That is why we have someone on our staff whose primary job is to communicate with the insurance companies in order to get your procedures approved before you start treatment. Obviously there are emergencies or times where a situation can’t be predicted and preauthorized but at Library Park Dental we try to let you know before you start treatment what the costs will be.

One patient was shocked to find out that the charges between “in-network” and “out of network” were the same for her.

Another patient discovered that it would be better for him to utilize Care Credit, a health care credit card program with which we work. This patient was able to finance his treatment over time and pay no interest since he was able to pay the treatment costs within the promotional period.

Many times people are embarrassed to talk about money or ask questions regarding costs. We are happy to discuss options with you. If you have any questions, please contact us today.
